danielk9 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Hi everybody, I'm a new user and I am not that good at Server OS. I am useing Windows Home Server Vail . As far as I got to know it is the same kernel as Windows Server 2008 R2. A few months ago I installed the WHS system and everything was all right. Besides to the folders existing ones on the system, I added (created) a few additional disk folders. The Server consists of 8 disks of 1,5 TB and an additional disk for draft. Recently the computer started showing blue screens. As a result of this a few of the disks became unaccessible. I can see them in My Computer, but I can't select them (clisking on them I can't access them: see attached picture). I took all the disks and connected them to another computer and it does see them, they are accessible, but naturally I can't see anything, because it is a part of RAID, right? When I get to Device Manager I see all of the disks, including all the controllers, with no errors. Now I don't know what to do. There is a lot of data that I'm afraid to loose. Please advice me what should I do. Is there any programm, which could help me recover teh data from those disks? Please HELP ME! mmthomas Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 How is your RAID setup? Are all eight disks in one RAID 5 array or some other configuration? Quote
