What's your forum software? If it was discontinued today and you were forced to move platforms, which would you move to? How easy would it be to transfer?

Do you have a custom forum theme? Would you ever design and create your own custom forum theme? Or would you rather pay a designer to do it for you?

Got an alert that Invision Community beta 5 was released. Upgrade to it on the beta site. Conversions now work. Going to convert a small site to see how it goes. I was waiting for this. Once the converters were turned on in the beta 0v version 3.x it wasn't long after that it went gold. Head over to https://testing123.info to play with it.

Do you keep a close eye on the content being posted on competing forums? If yes, how has it helped you? If no, why not?

I go back and forth on this. On a couple of my sites I have chat enabled. The chat works well on those sites and compliments the forum well. The sites I use chat software on are an off topic forum and a computer help forum. I have used it on other sites and on those the chat took over. Everyone went to posting in the chat instead of the fourm. What's your thoughts?

Do you think polls on a forum are often forgotten? I know most platforms hide them behind a button, which I think adds to the effect of many people not realizing that the feature is there. Do you often neglect to create polls?

I upgraded the site to the newest version of IPB version 4.7.19. Upgrade went very smooth. First upgrade I have done in a while. Took about 5 minutes once I entered my details in the upgrader. Way faster than xenforo. The upgrader in xenforo also left a lot to be desired as far as speed. Even the command line version was slow. In any case that's in the rear view and not to be dwelled upon.
